Two in five looking for love in the workplace 10/02/2005 16:08:14
More and more Brits are looking for love at work.
New reports reveal that some 40 per cent of employees in the UK are looking for passion in the workplace, spying colleagues as potential love matches.

According to research undertaken by Jobsite.co.uk, two in five UK workers are looking to find that special somebody during working hours, citing lack of time as the main reason for turning to co-workers.

A third admitted to daily 'e-flirting', whereby flirtatious relationships blossom via email exchanges throughout the day. Over 30 per cent of men questioned admitted that they would accept a job based upon the attractiveness of existing workers.

The media and marketing sectors were found to have the keenest flirts and loveseekers, compared to construction workers, seen as least eligible.

Almost half of all respondents to the survey had already found themselves romantically involved with co-workers.

The typically long hours worked by UK employees is thought to make the chances of finding love at work even higher.
