Young entrepreneurs in County Durham are being encouraged to attend a summer school designed to hone their enterprising instincts.
The University of Durham is hosting the non-residential course for 15 to 19 year olds between August 16th and 20th.
A range of sessions at the summer school have been designed to develop enterprising life skills, such as ICT, networking and teamwork, as well as raise awareness of the personal and career benefits of higher education.
Participants will also be asked to generate an idea for a business, using the concept as a framework for the week's learning.
Guest speakers at the school will include local entrepreneurs and small business advisers from banks and local enterprise agencies.
Funding for the project is being supplied by regional development agency One NorthEast, and it is being organised and managed by the Small Enterprise Development team from Durham Business School at the University of Durham.
